Ta-da!

Summer's dress is done and not without a few tears and several rippings, but it turned out really well, soft and sweet. She is to be born on March 5 and I will be arriving in FL on the 8th. How timely.

In other news, I have just about finished spinning the "Rose Hips" roving from EweniquelyEwe at Etsy. I've plied some, but this batch is single ply and I think I like it best. This is about 400 yards of thick and thin, mostly about worsted weight soft merino type yarn. Great colors: teal, deep crimson, soft gold, dusty green and tinge of purple here and there. Love it.

the lovely wrap

Here are some pictures of the project that seduced me back to knitting just as I felt I couldn't look another knitting needle in the eye for at least six months. It's not my usual style (maybe because I don't really have a 'style'?), but I just love the way the blues blend and - face it, it's really sweet.

I'm kind of in love.

and by the way? I went to the LYS again today and came home with some Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in bubblegum pink for a new baby in the family.
