Friday is so wonderful

This has been a very long week. So wonderful to be home and to not have to think about getting up at the crack of the ungodly early hour of 5:30 AM tomorrow. I love weekends!

Just posted a few new items on my etsy site: here. the new listing are of ACEOs that I had printed recently, not being able to let go of the original collages.

Last night I spun up the last of Jennifer's - at Windrose Fiber Studios (see link at right) - merino roving. It does spin so well that I just want to roll up in it and fall asleep in the soft pillow of wool that it made.

Tomorrow I am going to the Santa Fe winter Farmer's Market to meet up with another spinner there whose yarn I've purchased in the past. I talked to her by chance today and she says that she has new colorways that sound very, very exciting. Though I am in dire straits regarding the stash build up in my bedroom which is threatening to slide under the bed, into the closet and sprawl across the floor--- but still, I may just have to check her out and see if anything she has will match up with my spinning of earlier this week. I finally took a picture of it today against a beautiful Santa Fe sky, so here, as previously promised, is the visual of my initial spinning/plying effort!!!

Enjoy the colors (which are not as well represented as hoped, but oh well) and let me know what you think.

It looks so pretty and I love the way you photographed it! I didn't realize you live in Santa Fe. My husband and I want to explore that area as the possible next move. We are talking a few years down the road, but for some reason I just think I'd love Santa Fe.

You should come visit and explore. I came here ten years ago for a week and fell in love.
