Spinning

I spun several ounces of wool tonight while 'watching' Death at A Funeral, which probably would have been a lot funnier if I'd actually been watching. I can knit during a movie, but spinning is still pretty visual for me. I'm getting better pretty fast, or so it seems to me. My new roving came today and I wanted to finish what I had going so that I could get to it this weekend. I've been working on more of Windrose's (see previous post) merino, this time in a color called Sun Kissed. It is so fine and soft that it almost spins itself. It might be the perfect wool to ply with the new stuff. Can't wait to get more.

I was checking that I actually give people the right etsy address and that the correct one is on my new card. In the process I found that I have another interview floating around the internet. It's here. The nice folks at ChicGalleria had interviewed me some time ago. I'd pretty much figured that they found me too embarrassing for words and had tossed me to the back of the drawer, but apparently not. I do hate to read myself, but it's all true, dorky as I sound.

More this weekend. By then I'll be spinning in a new color --- even more importantly, I hope it will be warm on Super Bowl weekend. I can head up to the mountain and have a very good chance at some much needed solitude, play with my new camera, and let the dogs have a long romp in the snow. But I won't go if it's freezing!
