Still spinning!

I have a spinning fixation and it's making me dizzy. I have dreamt about spinning in one form or another for several nights in a row. I'm not sure what this says about me, but it's is a good break from dreaming about work, let me tell you. I've been working on the roving from EwewniquelyEwe at etsy and have spun several bobbins full. So, after an emergency run to the LYS to buy a fourth bobbin to ply on, I went on to ply double, then triple strands. I definitely over spin - it's pretty tight and if left to its own devices off the bobbin it will rapidly spiral into a twist so tight it rivals DNA. But here's how it turned out:
This is double - a bit loose, but ok over all -

Here's the triple ply - not perfect, but better.

The colors in this blend are really sweet to watch roll out under your fingertips - fawn, ruby red, teal, rose, green, cream...the colors just keep on coming and they blend together into soft skein with an overall golden glow.

In other areas I am not doing so well, having just ripped out about 10 hours of knitting with a variegated blue and brown from Plain and Fancy Yarns that was intended to be a sweater - the problem was mine, all mine as for some reason I keep on believing that I just KNOW the darn pattern and so don't look at it until I've totally blown it. I've done this enough that I can no longer not look at this particular pattern. I'm taking my yarn and moving on. I will not name the pattern as it will only cast unwarranted aspersions on it. Anyone with a brain would have no problem with it.

Obviously, I have no brain so I am off to look through my magazines and books for a v e r y s i m p l e pattern (for a very simple knitter).
